We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated.
Job DescriptionThe Surgical First Assistant will work under the guidance of the primary Surgeon to provide exceptional patient care and support in the Operating Room.
Responsibilities- Assist the Surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- Graduate of an accredited program for surgical technicians or a military training program in surgical technology.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and pass a basic FIT test.
The Surgical First Assistant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
