Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Meteorologist to join our team at RedTown Technical Services, LLC. As a Weather Forecaster and Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing critical weather forecasting and briefings to support the MQ-4C Triton Mission and its customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver pre-mission planning briefs to support VUP MQ-4C Triton orbits, including AORs in EUCOM and CENTCOM
  • Provide aviation DD175-1 Flight Weather Briefing's to VUP pilots, both face-to-face and electronically
  • Conduct Air Vehicle Operator turn-over briefings to VUP as scheduled
  • Provide real-time updates to forecasts when conditions affecting the airborne aircraft or recovery airfield change substantially from forecasted conditions
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including training, quality control, outage reporting, and aircraft mishap notifications
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • At least two years of aviation forecasting experience with the DOD or other Government agency
  • Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contacts throughout the life of the contract
  • Ability to operate all meteorological and communications equipment required for certification
  • Current security eligibility for program access to the SECRET level, with eligibility and continuous evaluation within the last 24 months
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English, and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four or more years of aviation forecasting experience
  • Familiarity with the Navy's Flight Weather Briefer program
  • Active Navy CAC and security clearance within the past 2 years
  • Experience with EUCOM or CENTCOM weather patterns and synoptic scale influences and impacts to operations
  • Previous support to the military weather community
  • Hands-on experience supporting Unmanned Air Vehicles or other Unmanned Aerial Systems
Work Environment

The selected candidate will work in an office-type atmosphere, with meals taken in conjunction with the shift. The workload will vary and may be stressful at times. The candidate can expect work hours to consist of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
