Job Summary:

The Comfort Squad Aide/Attendant is a specially trained member of the Nursing Department at SNCH who performs specified tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete in-house orientation program
  • Provide excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Assist with patient care tasks, including lifting, positioning, and transferring patients/equipment
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow infection control protocols

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer Nursing Students or individuals in healthcare-related fields
  • Completion of Comfort Squad Aide/Attendant Training/Orientation

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent, prolonged standing/walking
  • Lifts, positions, and/or transfers patients/equipment
  • Protective clothing/equipment worn (face shields, gloves, impermeable gown, particulate respirator)
