We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor and Solenoid Engineer to lead the development of our cryogenic hydrogen and oxygen pumps for our Lunar Lander. This is a critical role in our mission to establish a human presence on the lunar surface.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop unique motor and solenoid designs for use in aerospace applications
- Lead the complete life cycle of the drives from requirements definition to operation on the moon
- Collaborate with NASA and our National Team Partners on the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area
- 5+ years of experience in clean sheet kW class motor or solenoid design
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related technical subject area
- Systems Engineering experience, specifically requirements and interface definition, management and verification
- Experience with cryogenic or aerospace applications
