Material Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at Mittera. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items safely and efficiently.
• Read and understand job tickets and special instructions to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
• Count and record finished products, goods, and materials to be shipped and received.
• Pack materials to ensure safe delivery without damage.
• Identify and label shipments accurately.
• Process shipments, including packages and skids, using our shipping system.
• Schedule delivery trucks for on-time shipments.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 3 years of previous material management experience preferred.
• Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other lift equipment.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to use basic math skills and critical thinking to solve problems.
• Ability to interpret instructions and work in stressful situations.

• Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
• Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination.
• Requires near visual acuity.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials. A production employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
