Job Summary

DISH Network L.L.C is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to lead and manage a team of technical professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the technical staff to implement new product services and provide support in managing existing microservices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the technical staff to implement new product services and manage existing microservices.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with BSS and OSS application SMEs, Technical and Care operations to ensure optimal integration experience.
  • Manage all activities of the software development teams to ensure high quality and on-time project deliveries.
  • Perform regular reviews and brainstorming with the technical teams to identify solution gaps and provide ideas for improvements.
  • Assist senior management in strategic project planning, roll out, and monitoring.
  • Drive efficiencies and work on continuous improvements in project quality through automation and other innovative ideas.
  • Coordinate with Product Managers & Product Owners to review and refine software requirements and define specifications.
  • Lead team in producing solution approach and designs in coordination with the Architects.
  • Ensure compliance with company engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Mentor and coach the team members in achieving team as well as personal growth goals.
  • Conduct team meetings as well as one on ones with developers, senior management, and peers as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of technical management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with the following technologies: Java/J2EE, Spring/Springboot, Microservices & Event Driven architecture, OpenAPI Specification, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Restful API, and API management tools (Apigee, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
  • Capacity Planning, Prioritization, and Organizing effectively.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
  • Ability to provide coaching and counseling when necessary.
  • Status reporting/road mapping.
  • Wireless Telecom background.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in Containerization/Orchestration tools and Docker/Kubernetes.
Compensation:

$110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
