Job Description:

The Health & Human Services Comm is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned therapeutic specialties.
  • Provide hands-on support to individuals in therapeutic activities, such as supported employment job coaching and vocational rehabilitation.
  • Accompany individuals to and from activities and appointments, as required.
  • Prepare materials for assessments and maintain an adequate supply of materials for therapeutic activities.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in therapeutic activity areas, as instructed.
  • Collect data related to treatment plans and provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team about individual progress.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED or previous employment experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Experience working or volunteering with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities or in performing therapeutic work is preferred.
