Position Overview:
The Agricultural Special Projects Instructor plays a crucial role in implementing established educational initiatives within designated areas of agriculture, including production, marketing, farm-to-school programs, environmental studies, and other relevant fields. This position also involves contributing to the planning of various subjects such as animal and plant sciences, food systems, and agricultural technology. The instructor collaborates with the team to assist in organizing, delivering, and assessing agricultural programs within the community, with a strong emphasis on grant-funded projects.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture (e.g., animal science, agricultural business) or a related field; an Associate degree combined with two years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience pertinent to the responsibilities of this role.
- Proven ability to effectively deliver educational programs and training sessions.
- Commitment to fostering diverse, equitable, and inclusive programming.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a professional team and engage with external organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients and colleagues.

- A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets agency insurance standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Program Delivery (70%): Implement existing agricultural educational programs, ensuring objectives are met for grant-based projects, and provide training for both new and established farmers.
- Program Evaluation (5%): Conduct program evaluations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Administrative Direction (5%): Contribute to the planning and budgeting of educational programs and events.
- Administrative Management (5%): Offer administrative support to enhance program goals and resolve operational challenges.
- Administrative Coordination (10%): Recruit participants, organize program materials, and promote programming through various media channels.
- Professional Development (5%): Collaborate on a professional development plan to enhance skills relevant to the position.
