Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This role requires continuous observation and assessment of patient condition and care needs, with timely documentation of all activities, assessments, and nursing actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs.
  • Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and update the nursing care plan.
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
  • One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
