Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at WM. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance services, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment.

• Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition new parts.
• Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

• Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license and must have a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

This position requires working in a repair/maintenance shop environment, which involves exposure to physical occupational risks and physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements.
