Position Overview:
Avera is currently looking for a Surgical Technician to provide top-notch care in a patient-centered environment.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Operates within the surgical suite under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon. Acts as an integral member of the healthcare team by performing scrub duties for patients across all age groups. Responsible for scrubbing in for various surgical procedures while upholding and demonstrating sterile techniques. Monitors and manages supplies for the operating room and central supply.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE &/OR REGISTRATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program. Possession of a current Surgical Technician certificate or diploma is required. Current certifications in BLS and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting or completion in accordance with hospital Education Policy are necessary.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of six months of surgical scrub experience is preferred.
