Key Responsibilities
  • Perform security duties, including wearing issued uniform and equipment, maintaining a public presence, and interacting with the public in a positive manner.
  • Respond to incidents, including altercations with patients, visitors, and staff, and use defensive resources in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Follow hospital rules and regulations, including understanding and applying hospital SOP for restraint application and commitment against will situations.
  • Attend required safety training programs and demonstrate knowledge of techniques, procedures, and correct use of protective barrier equipment.
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees, and promote effective working relations within the department/unit team.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Previous law enforcement, military, dispatching, or security experience preferred.
  • Certifications in CPI, MOAB, Defensive Resources, and Restraint must be obtained within 6 months.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products.
  • Competency with computer skills, multitasking, and dispatching.
