We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Vehicle Operator to join our team at Butler Medical Transport. As an integral part of our EMS team, you will provide support to our EMT partners and play a critical role in delivering timely and effective pre-hospital care.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients to medical institutions in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate emergency vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and ready for transport.
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 19 years old at the time of hire.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Successful completion of a state-sponsored EVOC course or ability to complete company-provided course.
- Ability to obtain a Public Service Commission License (PSC).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to pass a lift test of pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent driving skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
