Job Summary:

Clemens Food Group is seeking a skilled Livestock Transport Class A CDL driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting live pigs to various farms and partner producers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload pigs safely and efficiently at farms and partner producers.
  • Follow all customer internal expectations on cleanliness and biosecurity to minimize risk of healthy herd's physical conditions.
  • Communicate with dispatch and farmers to ensure smooth pickup and delivery of livestock.
  • Perform post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to DOT regulations.
  • Participate in Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) training and adhere to standards.

Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement.
  • At least 1 year of experience driving a tractor-trailer.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move more than 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in/around manure and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
