About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in Lawrenceville, NJ. As a key member of our Traffic Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing traffic engineering projects, including signing and pavement marking design, traffic signal design, and traffic control/staging design.

Your Impact
  • Perform design and analysis tasks in project team settings, including transportation planning, concept plan development, and feasibility studies of highway, bridge, and other transportation facilities projects.
  • Conduct crash analysis and safety studies, and provide technical writing and report documentation.
  • Oversight traffic operational analysis inputs to design projects, and coordinate with other disciplines on project teams working on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Prepare engineering design plans, specifications, quantity calculations, and cost estimates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • 7 years of post-education experience in traffic engineering design and construction projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification.
  • Familiarity with the MUTCD, HCM, HSM, AASHTO, ITE guidelines, ADA Accessibility Guidelines, and the NJDOT and NJTA Roadway Design Manuals.
