Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with established job standards by performing a variety of tasks safely.
  2. Routinely inspect assigned work to maintain quality standards.
  3. Properly handle all parts and components with care.
  4. Retrieve and set up fixtures for each assigned assembly, adjusting as needed using hand tools and measuring devices.
  5. Retrieve raw materials and component parts for each assembly, performing basic forming operations as required.
  6. Clean raw materials and component parts using ultrasonic chemical tanks and stainless-steel baskets.
  7. Prepare flux by combining equal amounts of Sure-Flo Flux and Superior Flux.
  8. Assemble parts using handheld tongs, table-top fixtures, and silver solder wire, applying heat and solder to secure joints.
  9. Regulate torches for efficient operation and exercise care to avoid overheating parts and fixtures.
  10. Remove completed assembled parts while still hot, using handheld tools.
  11. Clean assembled parts using a series of chemical tanks and stainless-steel baskets.
  12. Perform basic finishing operations on assembled parts to remove excess solder accumulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Regular Attendance.
  2. Ability to use a variety of hand tools and measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  3. Use of related manufacturing equipment and operating controls.
  4. Position requires employees to read and interpret prints and measures drawings.
  5. Employees are responsible for properly and carefully handling all instruments and components.
  6. Required to properly dispose of or recycle any scrap material generated by any assigned production operation, and are required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.
  7. Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
  8. Ability to safely lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
  9. Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours.
  10. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  11. Ability to perform repetitive work.
  12. Required to carefully move, lift, maneuver, and deliver assembled component parts (using the prescribed material handling device or method), to the stockroom or subsequent production operation
  13. Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise, and vibration.
