As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafeterias, ensuring the highest quality food and service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Operations: Oversee the daily operations of our cafeterias, including menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train food service staff, including scheduling, monitoring labor costs, and providing guidance and support.
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our students, comply with federal regulations, and promote healthy eating habits.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control food and supply costs, including inventory management, waste reduction, and cost data analysis.
  • Catering and Events: Coordinate and execute catering services for school events and functions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of food production, inventory, and labor costs.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced training in food production, food preparation, nutrition, safety and sanitation, and interpersonal relationships preferred.
  • Experience: Successful experience in food service management, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Certification: Eligible to be certified at Level 3 by the American School Food Service Association.
Work Environment

The Food Service Manager II will work in a fast-paced environment with constant contact with students, staff, and the public. The work environment will be indoors and outdoors, with occasional exposure to noise and physical demands.
