Position Summary:
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of various Machine Tool equipment independently, as well as the operation of material handling equipment when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently set up and operate all types of Machine Tool equipment.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machinery including mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
- Calculate and adjust controls to manage machining parameters such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depth and angle.
- Engage in safety training and consistently demonstrate a commitment to safety practices.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in setting up and operating manual lathes, surface grinders, manual milling machines, and boring mills.
- Preferred experience with CNC milling machines.
- Must possess personal tools.
- Strong attendance record and willingness to work overtime as required.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
