Automotive Technician Job Description

At Midas, we're committed to delivering exceptional services to our customers' vehicles. As an automotive technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of quality and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems to identify and repair complex vehicle issues.
  • Conduct tire and tire repair services, as well as car heating and air conditioning maintenance.
  • Work on steering and suspension systems, belts and hoses, radiator and engine cooling systems, batteries, and starting and charging systems.
  • Repair brakes and brake systems, perform oil changes, and diagnose check engine light issues.
  • Provide visual safety and courtesy inspections, and offer muffler and exhaust services.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong track record of high personal productivity.
  • Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics, as well as safety and environmental standards for repair facilities.
  • Experience using shop equipment, such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree a plus.
  • State-specific auto repair certifications and a valid driver's license.
  • Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles.
Compensation:

$40.00 per hour
