Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently, transporting freight throughout the service center, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor-trailer safely and in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Transport freight continuously throughout the service center, navigating non-forgiving surfaces.
  • Read and interpret shipping labels, and complete various forms related to freight movement, such as shipping orders and freight bills.
  • Be available for work at all times to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Valid commercial driver's license with doubles, triples, and tanker endorsements.
  • 12 months previous tractor-trailer driving experience or completion of a State Certified driving school.
  • At least 22 years of age.

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, AM shift.
  • Work days and shift are estimates and subject to change based on job scheduling and business levels.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $36.55 per hour. As a full-time employee of Old Dominion Freight Line, you and your family are eligible for various benefits, including:
