Housekeeping Houseman Job Description

The Westin Richmond is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Houseman to join our team. As a Housekeeping Houseman, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute linens to designated areas, maintaining established par levels.
  • Keep storage and distribution areas clean and organized.
  • Report linen shortages or discrepancies to management.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products.
  • Assist other housekeeping staff in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas.
  • Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures, and clean ashtrays.
  • Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts.
  • Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds, refrigerators, and other guest requests.
  • Clean elevator car and tracks.
  • Adhere to all Marriott/Musselman standards.
  • Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed or requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn how to operate, load, and unload industrial washers and dryers.
  • Ability to sort linens, be on feet for scheduled hours, lift 75lbs regularly, and perform other duties requested by management.
