At Lighting Staffing Agency, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Taxation Manager to join our esteemed Tax team in Atlanta. This exciting opportunity is designed for individuals who possess a strong background in taxation and are eager to work with one of the most respected public accounting firms in the country.

Our industry niches include manufacturing/distribution, real estate, construction, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, staffing, and professional service firms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations at all levels of complexity.
  • Ensure all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Delegate and manage tax research projects to achieve an accurate and efficient product.
  • Participate actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts to assist the Business Assurance Department with larger clients.
  • Act as a resource for tax preparers/specialists and Business Assurance Staff on specific tax issues and/or questions.
  • Assume client service responsibility for clients working directly with them when delegated from the Partner.
  • Communicate important tax and tax developments affecting our clients' firms to the appropriate personnel.
  • Supervise the tax team and provide on-the-job training.
  • Assist the Business Assurance (Audit) Department with larger clients when deemed necessary.

Requirements:

  • A current CPA license is required.
  • Eight years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating proven progression in tax return complexity, scope, and research.
  • At least two years representing clients before taxing authorities.
  • Minimum of one year's experience supervising and directing the work of tax preparers.
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent accounting hours is required; a Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • Minimum 40 hours of continuing education are required yearly.
  • The candidate must be a member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.
  • Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or other tax automation/workflow software is a plus.
  • An individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strong team player mentality is essential.

Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum
