Main Responsibilities:
  • Accurately measures and performs calculations involving fractions and decimal conversions.
  • Executes spot welding and manipulates sheet metal.
  • Collaborates with the welding department for components requiring additional welding.
  • Applies paint or markings to screens as necessary.
  • Operates hand sandblasting equipment when required.
  • Oversees the inventory of screen materials and assembled screens.

Maintains communication with the fabrication and welding departments, as well as the mechanical design team, to ensure screens are produced according to specifications.

Utilizes computer systems to generate job orders, drawings, and other necessary documentation.

Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and focus during the assembly of screens.

The role requires a commitment to quality, accident prevention, and occupational safety, while actively promoting environmental safety within the scope of responsibilities.

Employees are expected to perform tasks as directed by management that align with their role or arise from organizational needs.

This position involves both office and factory floor environments, with potential work at customer sites.

While in a factory setting, employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level can be significant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this role.

While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to communicate effectively. This position is physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Employees must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Frequent tasks include standing, walking, using hands for manipulation, and reaching with arms.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Specifications:
Education:
Mandatory: High School diploma or equivalent (additional technical skills are advantageous)
Technical training in reading blueprints.
Professional Experience:
Mandatory: Minimum of 1 year experience in blueprint reading.
Proficient computer skills, including database searching, printing, and emailing.
Experience in TIG and MIG welding is a plus.
Spot welding experience is beneficial.
Interpersonal Skills and Behavioral Competencies:
Mandatory: Willingness to learn and adapt.
Highly organized and efficient in task management.
Independent self-starter with problem-solving abilities and foresight to avoid issues.
