ChristianaCare is in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 3B General Medical Unit.

Unit Overview:

The 3B unit is a 32-bed inpatient facility that provides both scheduled and emergency care on a 24-hour basis, including telemetry services. It is designed to support patients requiring inpatient treatment for various medical conditions.

Scope of Services:

The unit caters to a diverse range of medical issues, including but not limited to:

  • COPD exacerbation
  • Pneumonia
  • Alcohol withdrawal
  • Opioid withdrawal
  • Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain
  • Altered mental status
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Back pain
  • Diabetes management
  • Cellulitis

The patient demographic includes adults and geriatric individuals, with conditions ranging from moderate to severe. Patients may be admitted from various sources, including home, emergency departments, and physician offices.

Qualifications:

  • Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License required
  • BSN or commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire
  • Minimum of one year of experience in acute or sub-acute care
  • BLS certification required
