Job Summary:

  • Provide direct patient care and assist physicians with procedures and treatments as needed
  • Document vitals, treatments, interventions, medications, and essential notes in patient medical records according to clinic policy
  • Assist in coordinating lab tests, x-rays, consults, surgeries, hospital admission, or other appointments as ordered by physician
  • Call or fax prescription refills as ordered by physician or standing order and document accordingly
  • Facilitate communication between patient and physician and provide general clinic information in a professional manner
  • Manage voicemail and identify and follow appropriate procedures for emergency calls

Requirements:

  • Current LPN license to practice in the State of Minnesota or CMA certification/registration with 1 year of hire
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Previous LPN experience preferred, or graduate of a medical assistant program and achieve certification/registration within 1 year of hire
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques gained through a variety of nursing experience
  • Self-direction with good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
