Job Description: Clinical Skills Trainer Position Available at the California University Of Science And Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Clinical Skills Trainer. As a Standardized Patient, you will simulate real-life scenarios for medical students, portraying various patient roles to enhance their clinical skills.

The ideal candidate will have advanced proficiency in oral Spanish, a high school diploma or equivalent, and excellent reading and writing skills. Experience as a Standardized Patient is preferred but not required.

This is a part-time position with variable hours, scheduled on an as-needed basis. The work schedule includes Mondays from 8:00am-10:00am and 2:30pm-4:30pm, and Wednesdays from 3:30pm-4:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Simulate real-life patient scenarios for medical students
  • Portray various patient roles to enhance clinical skills
  • Provide written and oral feedback to medical students
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve portrayal and rating skills
  • Maintain clean work area and adhere to standard procedures
  • Responsible for keeping track of scheduled workdays and hours

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $18-$20 per hour
  • Estimated annual salary of $36,000 - $40,000 based on 20 hours of work per week
