The Role

As a Sales Manager at Galloway Roofing, you'll be responsible for building, guiding, and scaling the sales team. You'll provide hands-on leadership, training, and support, working closely with your sales reps to ensure they have a thorough understanding of our products and services. This role is all about being actively involved and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Team Development: Recruit, build, and lead a new sales team from scratch, providing the training and mentorship needed for success.
  • Training & Guidance: Lead in-depth training programs to sharpen your team's sales strategies and understanding of Galloway Roofing's offerings.
  • Field Leadership: Conduct regular ride-alongs with sales reps, offering real-time coaching and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Roof & Site Inspections: Perform site visits alongside your team to help assess project needs, offering hands-on guidance in product knowledge and project assessments.
  • Hands-On Management: Be a proactive leader, engaging directly with the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, and ensuring your team meets its objectives.
  • Performance Tracking & Goal Setting: Set clear sales targets, track performance, and develop strategies to help the team achieve and exceed their goals.
  • Client Relations: Build strong client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns that arise throughout the sales process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with installation teams and project managers to ensure sales commitments align with project execution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally within exterior services.
  • Managerial or mentorship experience, with a proven track record of leading successful sales teams.
  • A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to actively participate in roof inspections and field activities alongside your team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for site visits and team support.
