Our Team

We're led by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Emma Evans - Boarded Criticalist, Medical Director, Dr. Glynis McCorkle, and Lead Emergency Veterinarian Dr. Miriah Wilson, all of whom work clinical shifts alongside the team.

Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Virginia and/or Maryland
  • Ability to quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and pet families
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Clinical experience in emergency medicine or general practice, or completion of a rotating or specialty internship
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Support for new graduates who have a commitment to continued professional development and mentorship
