The Bar Back is a key member of our team at Daniel Island Golf Club LLC, responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests. As a Bar Back, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar area, replenishing supplies, and assisting our bartending staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning and polishing bar fixtures and equipment.
  • Replenish supplies, including liquor, fruit, ice, and dishes, to ensure a seamless service experience for our guests.
  • Assist bartending staff with tasks such as slicing and pitting fruit, washing glasses and equipment, and polishing silver and glass.
  • Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station and maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Mop floors and remove empty bottles and trash to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Mix and prepare flavors for mixed drinks, and maintain a high level of knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor.

Requirements

  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to diverse guest types.
  • Ability to remain calm and well-organized under pressure while working quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple tasks at a time, with good time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor, with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Ability to work in a shared space with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Regularly required to lift, reach with hands and arms, use fingers to handle or feel, with lifting requirements of up to 40 pounds.
