Job Summary:

Baptist Health seeks a PRN Community Retail Pharmacist to support our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations and personnel management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
  • Support the orientation, training, and development of community pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program, accrediting bodies, REMS compliance, third-party payers, and state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure timely completion of all claim and invoice reconciliation.
  • Ensure adequate control and documentation of controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing.
  • Maintain compliance with immunization protocols and ensure all staff have current training, including BLS CPR certification.
  • Report Good Catches, Adverse Drug Events, and Medication/Fluid errors.
  • Coordinate safe transitions of care from the hospital with patients, caregivers, other institutions, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Promote patient survey feedback and implement solutions for continuous improvement of the patient experience.
  • Perform responsibilities of Community Pharmacy Manager during their absence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
  • Kentucky and/or Indiana Board of Pharmacy license as applicable to site.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Immunization certification must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
