Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work under physician direction and under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager to provide quality patient care and promote a healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine treatments, including updrafts, MDI, CPT, AMB, incentive spirometry, IPV, and patient education.
  • Enter patient treatment in echart system and/or place documentation in patient charts.
  • Perform tasks in personal protective equipment, including N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Requirements
  • High School diploma plus 2 years direct respiratory care experience or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
  • Current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
  • ACCS, NPS, ACLS certifications.
