Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Evaluate resident status through frequent rounds
- Administer medication to patients as prescribed by their physician
- Provide wound care and document all care provided
- Oversee nursing assistants and ensure assignments are completed
- Current Michigan LPN License
- At least one year of experience in long-term care
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and comfort driving in snow and ice
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly, and/or emotionally upset
- COVID vaccination status
- No block schedule guaranteed; must be able to work any shift as needed
- Attendance is a must; facility reserves the right to cancel an active assignment due to multiple NC/NS, call-outs, etc.
- Facility has a cat and dog that live onsite full time; please make sure candidates are aware in case they are uncomfortable with dogs or cats or have allergies to them
