Role Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Technician Mobile Support will assist pharmacists in the operational functions of the Pharmacy & Nutrition Services Department. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare providers in the processing of prescription orders and prior authorizations.
- Managing the distribution and inventory of clinic-administered medications.
- Gathering and compiling essential clinical information.
- Driving to various locations to ensure the timely stocking of automated medication dispensing units.
Communication:
Effectively communicate relevant information to pharmacists, prescribing physicians, and office staff. Monitor and respond to electronic communications throughout the workday.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Licenses:
- Valid CA Pharmacy Technician License
- Valid CA Driver's License
Experience:
- Prior experience with medication prior authorizations and utilization management is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a pharmacy setting, particularly with automated medication dispensing systems.
Physical Demands:
The role requires various physical activities including lifting, standing, walking, and the ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
