Position Overview:

This role is designed for students who are interested in contributing to the operational success of the Campus Recreation Center. As a Campus Recreation Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the primary contact for up to 300 visitors per shift, ensuring their needs are met.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of facility policies and emergency procedures to guarantee user safety.
  3. Deliver outstanding customer service through effective communication and respectful interactions.
  4. Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance during all shifts.
  5. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for patrons regarding recreation programs and university services.
  6. Support Facility Supervisors with daily operations, including equipment management and facility cleanliness.
  7. Report to supervisory staff and assist with various departmental tasks as needed.
Position Requirements:
  • Must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  • Pass a criminal background check as mandated by state regulations.
  • Obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within the first month of employment.
  • Complete all required training sessions for student employees.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Availability to work weekends and varied shifts, including early mornings and late evenings.
  • Enthusiasm for fitness and wellness activities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong reliability and punctuality.
