Job Summary:

The Patient Care Coordinator provides high-quality patient care and support services in the cancer clinics and infusion center. This role involves performing a variety of duties, including patient care assistance, secretarial, and scheduling tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient care principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Patient Care Coordinator will work under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional and will be responsible for providing emotional comfort and support to patients and their families. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care assistance, including vital sign collection and medication administration
  • Perform secretarial and scheduling duties, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
  • Assist with patient education and support
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) program preferred
  • Minimum of six months experience in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and software programs
