We are seeking experienced IR Technologists to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an IR Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate procedures.
- Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Monitor patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure patient and operator safety.
- Interpret examination requests accurately, utilizing knowledge of physiology and anatomy.
- Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system to manage patient data.
- 1 year of experience in IR Technologist role.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and AART National certifications.
- Certificate of Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiac-interventional Radiology (CI), and state-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with flexibility to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
