We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for patients, while also providing exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Greet patients and family members, obtain and verify demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information, and register patients for service delivery.
- Data Entry and Management: Enter patient/guarantor data into the patient accounting system, collect patient signatures on forms, and scan registration documents.
- Insurance Verification and Benefits: Conduct online insurance eligibility/benefit verification, notify patients/guarantors, and collect patient liabilities.
- Financial Counseling and Support: Refer cases to financial counseling for follow-up and consultation, and provide escort and directional support to patients, family members, and visitors.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience: One year of applicable experience in a healthcare provider or payer environment preferred.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, data entry skills, and ability to use multiple systems to obtain or validate information.
