About the Role

As a Surgical Technologist in our Operating Room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services. Your expertise will be essential in preparing, delivering, and cleaning up patient care during the intra-operative phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of necessary equipment, sterile supplies, and instruments for each surgical case.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the unit by assembling surgical supplies for rooms and case tables.
  • Open sterile supplies for surgical procedures and clean equipment, including decontamination and sterilization of instruments.
  • Return unneeded equipment to the appropriate department and follow up on equipment needing repairs.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc) is required. Or 1 year of equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of relevant experience. 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (clinical rotations do not count as experience) is preferred.
  • BLS from AHA or ARC required within 90 days.
