Job Title: School Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at KIPP DC Public Schools. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and social-emotional development of our students.

Job Summary:

The School Psychologist will provide psychological services to students, including assessment, intervention, and consultation. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation Delivery: 40%
    • Administer, score, and interpret psychological measures to support student learning and behavior.
    • Develop and implement individualized plans to support student learning and behavior.
    • Provide consultation and support to teachers and parents to enhance student learning and behavior.
  • Stakeholder Management: 30%
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
    • Provide information and support to parents and guardians to enhance student learning and behavior.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and behavior.
  • School and Community Support: 30%
    • Develop and implement strategies to support student learning and behavior in the school and community settings.
    • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to provide support to students and families.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field.
  • Certification as a School Psychologist by the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).
  • At least two years of experience as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working in an urban public school setting.
