Neonatal Critical Care Transport Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Critical Care Transport Nurse to join our team at UC Davis Health System. As a Neonatal Transport Nurse, you will be responsible for providing critical care to high-risk infants during transportation to a higher level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide total, comprehensive, and continuous patient-centered care to high-risk infants during transportation.
- Assess, document, plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care for each patient.
- Deliver direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to University policies and procedures.
- Exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
- Participate in patient and staff education, demonstrating leadership skills and accountability for own practices.
- Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR.
- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)/American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 4 months of hire.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- At least two (2) years recent Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN experience and/or two (2) years recent Transport RN experience in a similar setting.
- National certification in high-risk neonatal nursing.
- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)/American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- BSN.
- Previous transport experience.
Works overtime as defined by the collective bargaining agreements; floats to other areas; and works weekends, holidays, and call as required.
