Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, including administering medications and treatments.
- Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, ensuring seamless patient flow.
- Review and modify patient care plans as needed, under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Deliver nursing interventions consistent with state medical plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
- Notify healthcare teams of patient status changes, recognizing potential care crises and taking appropriate action.
- Follow physician orders and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and properly, adhering to infection control and isolation procedures.
- Document patient care in records, adhering to internal controls and reporting structures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current licensure/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas.
- No experience required, but recent graduates with temporary permits will be considered.
- Current BLS-HP certification required.
