Structural Mechanic Trainee

As a Structural Mechanic Trainee at Kelly Services, Inc, you will be responsible for assembling structural components according to blueprints, installing and repairing structural systems, fabricating metal parts using hand tools and machinery, conducting quality inspections to ensure compliance with regulations, collaborating with engineers and architects to resolve design issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble structural components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Install and repair structural systems, including metal framing and roofing.
- Fabricate metal parts using hand tools and machinery, such as lathes and drill presses.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve design issues and ensure that structural systems meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Knowledge of metalworking processes and tools.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
