Job Description

Penn State University is seeking part-time Track and Field Summer Camp Counselors for its summer program. As a camp counselor, you will be responsible for assisting in the everyday operations of the camp, teaching and supervising campers, providing encouragement, and creating a safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily management of the camp
  • Teach and supervise campers during various track and field activities
  • Provide support and encouragement to campers
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all campers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Background clearance requirements: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and FBI Criminal Background Check
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position working primarily outdoors during the summer months. The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the day.
