About the Opportunity
Hartford HealthCare’s Behavioral Health Network (HHC BHN) invites a board-certified/board-eligible adult psychiatrist to join its multidisciplinary team at Backus Hospital, a 213-bed acute care community hospital with an 18-bed inpatient adult unit.
As a key member of the team, the selected candidate will provide psychiatric services to individuals requiring behavioral health or substance use services, and will also participate in psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to other services and the ER, if needed.
The position offers opportunities for leadership and professional growth, including the chance to provide supervision to selected medical students, residents, and non-physician health professionals.
The BHN provides 750,000 outpatient visits and 110,000 inpatient days of care a year across 50 locations and 300 inpatient beds. With ten Clinical Day Schools and six residential locations, it is recognized for coordinated, high-quality care.
This position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for training and development of leadership skills. The selected candidate will be eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
