Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Direct Care Worker - Group Home to join our team at Nue Beginnings Residence Home Inc. As a Direct Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to children residing in group homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage challenging behaviors using crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • Promote healthy boundaries, self-esteem, and personal appearance among young adults.
  • Transport children safely and punctually to and from community-based outings and appointments.
  • Facilitate behavioral modification training in areas such as anger management, stress management, and problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans prioritizing environmental safety, healthy coping strategies, and achievable behavioral goals.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce socially acceptable behaviors.
  • Collaborate with other subcontractors to track progress, adjust strategies, and create a structured home environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a youth group home setting or youth stabilization unit, and a minimum of 5 years of paid experience in human-services working with children grades K-12th.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year.
