Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Modeler III to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our Family Development Team, you will be responsible for creating project-specific families, leading and supervising modeling and documentation, and ensuring timely project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Family Development Team to develop revised standards and project-specific families.
  • Create and manage project-specific families, including electrical modeling and documentation.
  • Lead and supervise modeling and documentation efforts, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Schedule and assign work to meet project deadlines, ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Clean and purge background drawings/models for use in REI models.
  • Create Revit models using backgrounds from other trades.
  • Work closely with project Coordinators and Detailers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Supervise the layout and input of marked-up drawings into Revit, adhering to REI standards.
  • Verify the accuracy of others' work before passing it on to the project team.
  • Ensure the protection of proprietary and company intellectual property.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical drafting and modeling, with knowledge of electrical symbols and standards.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Revit software, including creating and manipulating families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar functions.
  • Electrical modeling background in commercial, industrial, or renewable energy spaces.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide verbal and written direction.
  • Complete understanding of REI BIM processes and procedures, including workflow processes.
  • Fluency in current Revit software versions and 2D/3D design principles.
  • Autodesk Navis Works and Autodesk Design Review proficiency.
