Position Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator with a focus on Active Directory. The successful candidate will have a background in security and server management, playing a crucial role in supporting the Active Directory team to deliver advanced services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Active Directory (AD) Services utilizing enterprise tools such as Change Auditor and Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM).
  • Diagnose and document intricate technical challenges effectively.
  • Record technical troubleshooting activities in the ticketing system and Knowledge Management Systems.
  • Ensure compliance of server configurations with relevant regulations.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively; prioritize tasks and organize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Be available for overtime, holidays, and weekends when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Possess an active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility.
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree.
  • Hold an IAT II certification (e.g., CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).
  • Must achieve a Microsoft server-specific certification (e.g., MCP or AZ-900) within 180 days of employment.
  • Exhibit a positive, self-driven attitude with the capacity to adapt to changes and manage stress effectively.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with team members and leadership.
  • Possess the ability and motivation to research and devise innovative solutions to unique challenges with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory services and Server 2012 R2 administration.
  • Experience with both physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers.
  • Understanding of client/server hardware and software configurations.
  • Knowledge of networking principles.
  • Ability to create and/or modify scripts (batch, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs and IAVAs, as well as McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active SECRET clearance.

  • Standard office environment conditions.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • May involve non-traditional working hours, including consecutive nights or weekends as necessary.
