Key Responsibilities:
Conducts collaborative rounds with the healthcare team to deliver pharmaceutical care aimed at achieving the best therapeutic results.
Evaluates medication profiles to ensure suitable drug selection, dosage, administration route, and frequency.
Identifies and addresses existing drug-related issues while formulating strategies to avert potential drug-related complications.
Oversees all aspects of pharmaceutical care delivery to patients.
Enhances systems and processes to guarantee the safe, precise, and timely provision of pharmaceutical services.
Facilitates educational initiatives for pharmacists to enhance their understanding of appropriate pharmacotherapy and patient monitoring.

Manages the workforce within the program to fulfill talent requirements, including recruitment, scheduling, performance assessments, and opportunities for professional development.

Performs additional duties as assigned or reasonably required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Required: Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy; Advanced degree in Pharmacy and/or completion of a residency in a hospital pharmacy accredited by the American Society of Health.

EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum of three years of experience as a pharmacy technician OR three years of experience in prior authorization and/or copay assistance programs OR a combination of three years in pharmacy technician roles and prior authorization/cost assistance experience.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Required: Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) must be obtained within one year of employment; Current pharmacy license in North Carolina, or eligibility to secure a North Carolina pharmacy license within two months of employment.
