We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Maricopa Water District. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing technical work in the maintenance and repair of water distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure the efficient operation of our water distribution systems.
- Clean and Maintain Facilities: Clean and maintain areas surrounding wells, facilities, and related equipment to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate a forklift, crane, loader, dump truck, backhoe, and other heavy equipment as needed to support maintenance and repair activities.
- Identify and Report Hazards: Identify and report any health and/or safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with Operational Tasks: Assist with operational tasks in other areas as needed to support the overall operations of the district.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years' experience working in a maintenance capacity, with water distribution experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a valid CDL with Tanker endorsement, Class A preferred.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 75+ pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
