Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of multiple facilities. This role involves a variety of tasks that may change daily, requiring a proactive and resourceful approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform light maintenance and repair tasks in a safe and professional manner.
2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, especially in areas where residents are present.
3. Utilize hand tools, meters, and measuring devices competently.
4. Troubleshoot issues effectively and communicate conditions accurately.
5. Adhere to all corporate and facility policies, including dress code and safety regulations.
6. Work independently with minimal supervision while being knowledgeable of relevant codes and ordinances.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including boiler operations.
- General maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair.
- Grounds maintenance and other outdoor responsibilities as needed.
- On-call duties as directed by the department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade or vocational school is a plus.
- A minimum of two years of experience in building systems is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required depending on location.
